ProLingo Online Classroom Rules & Student Protocols
These guidelines are designed to create a focused, respectful, and highly effective learning environment. Every student is expected to follow them sincerely to gain maximum value from live language sessions.
1. Class Joining & Punctuality
- Join every class at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Punctuality is mandatory. Late entry disrupts the class flow and may not be permitted.
- Ensure your device, audio, and internet connection are ready before class begins.
- Inform the coordinator in advance if you are unable to attend a session.
2. Device & Technical Readiness
- Classes should preferably be attended using a laptop or desktop.
- Mobile phones may be used only if no other device is available.
- A stable internet connection is the student’s responsibility.
- Download and update required platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams on the device you usually attend classes from.
- Keep your device on silent mode during sessions.
3. Camera, Audio & Online Conduct
- Camera should remain ON during the class to ensure active participation and engagement.
- Microphones must stay muted by default and should be unmuted only when speaking.
- Avoid unnecessary background movement, distractions, or multitasking.
- Maintain proper posture and remain attentive throughout the session.
4. Learning Environment
- Attend classes from a quiet, well-lit, and distraction-free space.
- Avoid joining classes from public places, vehicles, or while lying down.
- Ensure minimal background noise and interruptions.
- Keep the background neutral and professional wherever possible.
5. Classroom Interaction & Participation
- Language learning requires active participation. Silence is not an option.
- Students are expected to communicate, ask questions, and engage in speaking activities.
- Use the “Raise Hand” feature in Zoom or Microsoft Teams to ask questions.
- Wait for the trainer’s cue before speaking to maintain order in group sessions.
- Worksheets, practice tasks, and speaking exercises must be taken seriously.
6. Behaviour, Respect & Professionalism
- Respect towards trainers and fellow learners is non-negotiable.
- No personal comments, teasing, or remarks directed at anyone.
- Casual chats, side conversations, or irrelevant discussions are strictly discouraged.
- Inappropriate language or behaviour will not be tolerated.
- The trainer reserves the right to mute or remove any participant who disrupts the learning environment.
7. Learning Mindset & Accountability
- Mistakes are a natural part of language learning. Do not fear speaking incorrectly.
- Students are encouraged to ask questions freely and practice without hesitation.
- Consistency, practice outside class hours, and discipline are key to progress.
- Every learner is expected to be interactive, curious, and committed.
